For this beautiful West Country farmhouse, we blended modern appliances with a rural heritage feel
We worked with the clients to design a kitchen that perfectly fitted their elevated rustic aesthetic
This beautiful farmhouse which has been loved by the same family for generations was full of character and cherished memories. The clients wanted to retain that traditional farmhouse relaxed feeling and remain sympathetic to the original building and period features.
Central island with a nod to the traditional farmhouse table
A key design feature in the layout of the kitchen was the central island. It has a sink, a dishwasher, deep pan drawers, a breakfast bar, plenty of storage and also lots of worksurface for that all important kitchen prep. Finished in Farrow & Ball Pantalon to compliment the original flag stone floor and the beautiful Aga range cooker.
The cutest Laundry Room
We also helped the lovely family to design and make a laundry room. They wanted a functional space with a large Belfast sink to wash off Rugby boots, room for a washing machine and storage for washing powder, clothes pegs, etc. The cabinets and worksurfaces were made in beautiful solid oak which was a fine contrast to the rest of the room which was painted in Farrow & Ball Yeabridge Green.
