We named this kitchen ‘The Hygge Kitchen’ as we believe it embodies the Danish expression ‘Hygge’, a lifestyle that focuses on the things that are really important and celebrate life, warmth and family. The lovely clients that we worked with on this project came to us with a specific design brief which was to create a space that was harmonious, calming and minimalist. The neutral colour palette embodies the Hygge way of life creating a backdrop that calms the mind in order to enjoy effortless cooking and a space to enjoy life and spending time with loved ones.
This particular layout is more contemporary that some of our portfolio, with the emphasis on clean lines. The handle-less design combined with the hob on the centre island creates an aesthetically pleasing and practical space. The sink sits directly behind the hob, with the ovens to the right and combined with the oak slatted breakfast cabinet and American fridge freezer makes this a dream kitchen to work in.
