Rustic Town House

Charming, eclectic and welcoming…..

This kitchen had to meet the modern-day lifestyle of a busy professional, yet have the charm and sophistication required for a period town house.

Starting with changing the floor to something warm, characterful, yet practical we specified a beautiful ceramic tile in a dark oak finish. The tiles are large and wide and give the effect of beautiful old boards.

Calming minimalist cabinets without any door detail creates a sleek and contemporary feel. Soft pale colours make the space feel light and open allowing a blank canvas back drop for the owner’s art collection.

Taking our clients love for strong colour a large central island, the beautiful Aga and Zellige tiles work beautifully together adding a strong feature. Making this eclectic kitchen come to life. The butchers block feature on the end of the island was sourced from an antique dealer and the custom-made base creates a practical storage solution for the foil and knife block making the island an ideal preparation area.

Open cabinets break up the back of the island offering ample storage for all handmade crockery and cook books of a real chef’s kitchen.

Allowing the tall furniture to stop above the door line without towering too tall was vital in this design. Making the space feel open without compromising on storage this kitchen features the all-important pantry. We have created a space for everything, u shaped shelving with a granite surface creates the ideal area for the coffee machine and k mix. Whilst the oak spice racks hold everything imaginable.

In our opinion this kitchen definitely is the heart of this home!
